SCHUNK’s complete starter kit for fast and convenient installation of the SCHUNK Co-act gripper EGH includes all the required components for plug and play mounting of the gripper to a Cobot.

The SCHUNK Co-act grippers are especially designed for applications where no direct interaction between humans and robots is required. Safety is still insured among various protective devices. The co-act gripper EGH facilitates the initial break into automation, because of its great flexibility and simplicity.

The certified SCHUNK Co-act EGP-C and the Co-act EGL-C grippers are available for applications in which cobots directly collaborate with humans. The reliable safety features that these grippers  have can be used in the field of human-robot collaboration.

Emerson Launches the New ASCOTM Series 090 Miniature Solenoid Valve

ASCO Series 090 miniature valve

The new ASCO™ Series 090 is a 2-way, normally closed, general service miniature solenoid valve deriving from the ASCO Series RB valves. This new valve enhances our product portfolio for Oxygen Therapy applications by addressing the market trend of portability in devices without the sacrifice of flow. Its compact, lightweight design, and low holding power make the Series 090 ideal for portable medical devices. The Series 090 also allows for customization in design and economic flexibility.

The new ASCO™ Series 090 valve is suitable for a variety of gas applications, including those with 99% concentrated oxygen. Among its features are oxygen delivery, compression therapy, gas analyzers.  Valve applications include Single-use manufacturing,  Bioreactors,  Chromatography skids, and Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) skids.

The valve has a lightweight, compact design with high flow performance for portable devices. It as a flow capacity 0.077 cv at 0.7 bar,  the best in class for valve envelope sizes, allowing customers to design their systems without fear or losing flow rate. Its robust life rating greatly increases OEM instrument reliability while featuring a low power consumption.

It’s Draft Day!!

We’re excited to welcome our new interns from Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep for the 2019-2020 school year!!  As part of our company’s effort to provide opportunities for the people and the community we belong,  Burns Controls has partnered with Cristo Rey Dallas on a Corporate Work-Study Program that places students in businesses and nonprofits where they earn up to 50 percent of the cost of their education. This year, we have “drafted” five students who will learn the fine details of our day-to-day business, and we in turn help them with their school tuition.


Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep’s mission is to inspire and prepare students of limited economic resources to succeed in college and lead their communities as compassionate, committed, and competent men and women for others for the greater glory of God.
